Ghost goal, 1959 semi-final

Local lore says that in the 1959 semi-final against Loughrea a late shot vanished into the crowd pressed along the sideline. There were no nets, and the umpires waved it wide. Fohenagh won by a fraction and went on to win the final. Loughrea men still say the ball went in.
